STEWARDING RULES & REGULATIONS
As a festival, we could not operate without the assistance of volunteer Stewards. We do not want to impose a whole set of rules and regulations, and trust our helpers to do their best at all times, however, there must be some clear guidelines to ensure the safe running of the festival for customers, volunteers and guests alike as well as the venues, their owners and the local community.

These ‘Rules & Regulations’ are as follows:

• Stewards must report upon arrival to the Information Desk located in the Civic Hall to collect their badges and list of duties. Any queries regarding duties given must be discussed with the Steward Coordinator, Tony Cutler.
• A Steward Duty is to be carried out professionally and responsibly at all times which includes arriving promptly (at least 10 minutes before the time of your duty) to enable the person whom you are relieving to exit their duty on time.
• Should you find that you cannot fulfil a duty for any reason, you must make the Venue Manager and/or the Steward Coordinator aware in plenty of time before the duty is due to commence. Please do not leave notification to the last half hour prior to the start of the duty. If possible, go through your duties on receipt of your email and make the Steward Coordinator aware of any problems prior to arrival at the festival. If you are not able to do this, then please make sure any problems are highlighted immediately upon your arrival to the Managers of the Stewards Reception Desk.
• If you choose to swap duties with another steward, this also must be advised to the Steward Coordinator and Venue Manager with the name of the steward undertaking your duty and the time of the duty that has been swapped – the responsibility for fulfilling that duty remains with you, so you must be sure whoever you swap with will not let you down. This is every stewards’ responsibility.
• Stewards must report to the Venue Manager on arrival for their given duty periods.
• Stewards must be professional at all times and should refrain from drinking alcohol whilst on duty. Stewards must not present themselves for duty in an inebriated state (in other words drunk!) - anyone doing so will be rejected from the Festival.
• It is our prime concern that everyone at the festival is, and feels, safe. Should there be a situation you do not feel ‘comfortable’ in dealing with, please seek advice and assistance from your Venue Manager.
  
  Whilst we do our best to accommodate your preferences with regards to Concert and Song/Music sessions, we cannot guarantee that your duties will not clash at some point. Please remember, that although you are a voluntees you do have the privilege of a full weekend ticket in return for your agreed Stewarding.
